It always feels so British starting off a blog post speaking about the weather, but I guess most people think about the weather a lot during the run up to their wedding. Truthfully, we expected a stormy start to the wedding season this year. The week leading up to Heather & Sam’s big day had been nothing but wind, sleet and snow. We were completely delighted when the sun graced us with, what really felt like, the very first day of Spring at this Devonshire Dome Wedding.
Lots of little details to love here. The venue, Devonshire Dome was a dream. Constant, perfect, soft light all day meant we ended up with our highest photo count ever. It was really dramatic, with a vast ceiling, stone columns and a balcony that made shooting in the background a breeze.
Heading down to the botanical gardens was lovely too. Buxton, in general, is a gorgeous little town. If you go, definitely head to St Moritz – an Italian that serves incredible pizza and amazing pistachio ice cream. (Dave and I are on a constant hunt for “the perfect” pistachio ice cream. It’s an obsession).
A few favourites from Heather & Sam’s lovely day above!
